Mortgage lending is a people business and we need a terrific person to join our established team.

Mortgage loan processing experience is a bonus, but it is not required, because for the right candidate we will train you how to become a mortgage-processing star.  You’ll work with smart, happy, and passionate people in a small, hometown office environment. You will partner with three senior loan officers to provide our clients with an exceptional level of responsiveness and service.

What you will do:

  • Work with the loan officers to efficiently obtain all paperwork needed to put a loan application file together.  This includes income, asset and credit documentation.
  • Ensure all state and federal loan disclosures are present in the files and completed properly.
  • Assemble the loan files in proper stacking order, work up the files in our origination software and run the files thru Automated Underwriting engines.
  • Submit loan files to the lender for underwriting.
  • Manage loan file timelines—including file submission, title/escrow/appraisal order outs, approval review, condition clearing and moving a file to closing.  Efficient and timely communication with both the lender underwriters and the loan officers is key as the file moves thru the process toward closing.
  • Assist in post-closing file management—both hard file and electronic file.
  • Help manage the client database and loan officer file pipelines to assist in marketing efforts.

A bonus, but not required:

Prior loan processing experience

Professional aspirations within the home loan industry

Experience in the real estate or lending industry

BA/BS or comparable work experience

Social Media marketing (mobile/web-based) knowledge
